我不懂日文,只能透過英文來理解。大意是說:
如果有人跟你說:「不論你怎麼努力磨刀(或磨鍊劍技、精進),都是沒有用的。」
請千萬不要相信這樣的話語。
即使刀無法出現光芒,但是磨刀的人卻不同。
帶著歉意(懺悔)來磨刀,磨刀的人本身就會發光!
這是一個「甚深微妙」的世界!
這也是我們應該持續磨刀(精進)的理由。

磨鈍刀【磨練自己、磨練劍道】
鈍刀再怎麼磨,
雖然有人認為徒然無功,
但沒必要聽別人這般的話,
仍要努力不懈地磨利。
刀子雖然還不會發亮,但磨刀的本人已逐漸改變。
也就是,一邊,刀子還在磨,還在磨 ... ...
另一邊,磨刀的本人已開始發光發亮,而成就了本人。
因這是個甚深微妙的世界,
要努力不懈地磨練。
